Everyone went inside their dorms, but we didn’t. We’d probably be reprimanded, but well, it would be worth it. The full moon shines ever so brightly, signaling that it’s already midnight.

“Happy birthday Jacob!” I beamed and handed him a small box. He was a little surprised and tried to keep it cool. But his pheromones were oozing, giving him away that he was quite delighted. He unwrapped the tiny gift box, and he held my present. “An anklet?”
