We pressed on, as we knew that every fucking second counted. The pursuers’ howling sparked the urgency that all of us felt as we desperately tried to widen the gap between them.

“They are coming,” Alpha Daniel and his father said at the same time.

The second we heard that, everyone ran as fast as we could. As if our lives depended on it. That may actually be true since even if we are all strong in our own ways, if we are totally outnumbered by a huge gap, then.. Every one of us could die.
