Her angry brown eyes scanning the room until they land on the child in my arms.

"What are you doing with...that thing?" She hisses, referring to Victoria

Victoria, noticing this, hides her face in my chest.

I frown at this.

"Caring for her," I retort

I wrap my arms tighter around the child's body when I feel her body shake against mine, as if she were crying.

"It is this thing where you take care of someone because you genuinely care about them," I explain to her
