The next morning, I woke up to the warm sunlight shining across the big bed.

Theodore was still lying beside me, his arm wrapped tight around my waist, holding me against his warm chest. For a few minutes, I just stayed there, listening to his steady breathing.

After all the chaos of the last few days, being in his arms felt like the safest place in the world.
