Nara POV

A familiar black SUV suddenly swerves into view, and my eyebrows knitted. The car comes to a sharp stop right in front of me, tires screeching against the ground. Before I could react, the door flies open, and Adrian rushes to my side, his face tense, eyes scanning the area.

“What are you-”A gunshot sound cut through the air, and then another. For a second, I don't know what is going on. Adrian starts to move, and his body slams into me, pushing me backwards as he wraps himself around me. I clutch his shirt, my nails digging into him as my heart hammers against my ribs.

“Down!”...
