Ezra’s Point Of View.

I SEEM to be stunned by the absence and hear nothing but the sound of gunshots and the pounding of my heart. I could not move and at that moment, I seemed paralyzed.

I closed my eyes and waited for it to hit me but for a few more seconds, I was so startled when I felt no pain in my body.

Am I really not in pain or am I numb enough to feel nothing?
