For five long days, I had been unconscious. After spending an additional two days in the hospital for close examination, we were finally informed by the doctor that we could now leave.

“Those drugs could have killed not just your wolf, but your human self as well,” the doctor had said.

“You need to relax and give yourself some time to come to terms with your new body,” he advised.

Since we were discharged from the hospital, Dad had literally turned into a nanny—catering to my every waking condition.
