ISABELLE’S POV

“Have I heard the truth?” The king asks me as he takes steps toward me. He is barely controlling his anger. His eyes are of a darker shade and they show only rage, pure rage. I want to take steps backward but my feet are glued to the ground.

“Isabelle, answer my question”. He says in his deep, rage-filled voice. I feel like I am going to faint at any moment because of fear. What should I answer now? I have only two options.
