ERIC’S POV

I am returning to the palace after two days. These two days have been quite tiring. I did not want to stay there except for short breaks so it was mainly traveling. I barely slept in these two days. I wanted to return as soon as possible just because I want to be with Isabelle.

I look around me at the vast forest. After a short break, we resumed our journey during the day but now it is night. There is darkness around us. From a distance, I can see the lights coming from the palace because of the lit flambeaus. The palace is not far now...
