It was all blurry at first. In fact, too blurry for merrick. But after some seconds, everything became clear to him. 

He fell on the rough floor and rolled thoroughly. 

He rolled towards the bush 8n a rough manner. In fact,  too rough. 

The two people who landed before him heard the noise and they both turned around.  

"Didn't you hear that?" Ellen asked the girl. 

"I also did. It's exactly like someone's watching us," Betty said and he held her hand.  

"Let's get outta here before things turns out not to good for us," 

He said and the two turned around to leave. 

Behind the bush...merrick groaned out loudly....
