I needed air
Air that wasn't filled with the heady scent of Elion's cologne. My body didn't feel like my own, my lungs refused to work properly, every breath catching somewhere between my chest and my throat.
I barely made it to my office before my legs gave way, a shattering sound wrenched out of me and I pressed my fingers to my mouth to stop the rest from bursting out
