Mia’s POV:

The next day, I said goodbye to Hoyles, put on a mask, and did a simple disguise before heading to a nearby pharmacy. I reserved a new set of silver needles for future use and bought some herbs for rheumatism.

I carried the medicine and ate at a nearby restaurant. Coincidentally, I’d eaten here the last time I bought medicine too—right after, I’d unexpectedly saved a child who’d fallen from a building. Time really did fly.

Two nights ago, I’d called Charles to thank him and ask about his wife’s condition, offering to visit and treat her.

Charles had answered immediately, voice excited: “Of course I do!”
