According to the historical records of the Tang Dynasty, in the nineteenth year of Emperor Kaihuang, the princess of Anyi died in the Northwest Khan. Emperor Wen married the princess of Yicheng, a patriarchal daughter.

Princess Yicheng lived in Northwest China for nearly 30 years. She was successively the empress of Qimin Khan, Shibi Khan, Churokhan and Jili Khan.

In the four years of Tang Zhenguan, Princess Yicheng was captured by Li Jing and died of arson.

After the fire was extinguished, Princess Yicheng left a serpent and buried it in the prairie. After a full ninety-eighty-one day, at noon, the sun was shining, but a thunderbolt struck it.
