The ride to school was quiet, besides the radio playing. Normally, we found random things to talk about during the ride but for the first time, I had nothing to say. I guess my mom understood because she gave me the space I needed.
"Okay, I will see you later." My mom said as we pulled up in front of the building.
"Okay, see ya." I stepped out of the car, focusing on the one place I did not want to be today, school.
I walked into the building, trying to avoid any eye contact with anyone. Some people seemed to walk right pass me, going about their day....
