"Okay, okay." I took a few easing deep breaths to help calm my racing heart.
I looked at the little clock that was resting on the dresser. six-forty six. Just looking at the clock added a little pressure to my nerves.
I walked over to the window and looked out. A swirl of orange and yellow danced across the sky, creating a spectacular sight to see. I looked down. I watched as cars pulled up. Guest, finely dressed, emerged from the cars and limos and entered the front door of the large mansion-like home.
So much for keeping calm.
