I hurried back to my room at the other wing of the temple, my mind still racing after seeing Mira. My chest was tight, my heartbeat erratic, and a gnawing unease crawled up my spine. I knew nothing good would come out of that crazy bitch's presence. 

Whose idea had it been to bring her here again? I was sure that if she had been left outside the Temple of the Moon Goddess, she would have died. It would have served her right too.
