KIRA'S POV

For a long moment, I couldn't hear anything over the rushing sound in my ears. 

The Hall was in uproar, and Dante's father had just arrived. He took in the scene immediately, and began rushing towards us. For the first time since my arrival in Blackthorn, I saw panic cross Luna Odessa's face. 

The same expression was mirrored on Mom's face. 

Mira just looked smug, a smile on her face. 

Dante was trying to tell me something, but I was too distracted to listen. My thoughts and emotions were so jumbled that I couldn't use our mindlink either.
