“Why are you acting like this is my fault?” Sia shot back, her voice rising with panic. “What do you know, Rowan?”

Agent Smith raised an eyebrow, watching the exchange with interest. “Sounds like you two have something to discuss.”

Sia’s breath was coming in short, panicked bursts now. Everything was spiraling out of control. The cramps were excruciating, her head spinning from the tension in the room. She needed to get out—now.
