“Do you have your phone with you?” I asked Pussycat, scanning the library loft for any signs of movement.
“No! Why do you need one?” Pussycat replied, her voice shaky.
“Yep,” I muttered, adjusting the Glock in my hand. The sound of boots echoed as BPO agents ran a sweep through the corridors just below us. We were lucky they hadn’t found us yet, but that luck wouldn’t last.
Pussycat started sobbing softly, her hands trembling. “What the hell is going on? My crew is dead, the prison is in riot, and instead of security calming the situation, they’re hunting you like you’re the only thing that matters.”...
