I know Asher can smell my arousal, but right now, I don’t care.
What does he want this time? I guess he wants me away from him, as usual.
I see the way he looks pissed, his jaw clenched tightly, his hands forming fists. He kicks the bed, and I jump at the sudden movement.
He’s barely holding it together, and it’s obvious.
I can tell he wants to reach out, to explain, to say something that might make all of this better.
But to be honest, I don’t want to hear anything that comes from his mouth right now. I’m done listening to excuses and half-truths.
