I felt his presence again. There was no way Hermes was still here when I saw him leave the palace. I forced myself back to the present, my eyes scanning the room in search of him.

"Are you sure you can stay without me?" His masculine voice drew my attention towards him at the door.

"Stop flattering yourself, Hermes." I crossed my arms over my churning stomach and managed a smile. "I've been managing without you for months. It's something I'm used too by now."
