*Storm POV*
I wrenched myself awake. I had to push through layers of haze and it took every ounce of discipline and control that I had. Every muscle in my body felt sore, but my skin was clear, the blisters and the red, angry burn gone as if it was never there. My neck throbbed, right over my pulse. I covered it with my palm and felt warmth tingling through my body.
My neck ached. I rolled out of the bed and hit the floor running, dashing for the bathroom to stare at the mark on my neck.
It was a circular brand, dark and raised, almost like a tattoo....
