Bran walked me into the hall for the birthday dinner the moment we got out of the car.

 

I held onto his arm as we walked in, and all attention suddenly shifted to us as some guests murmured while some gave off faint smiles.

 

I didn't bother or care to know what was going through their minds. Just up ahead, I saw my Dad conversing and exchanging pleasantries with some of his guests as Bran and I walked up to him.
