"No... No.. please." I stammered as drkness surrounded me, thick and cloying. I strained every sense trying to pierce the inky void, but only malignant whispers echoed mockingly back. My heart hammered against my ribs as clawed hands grabbed at me from the shadows.
Then suddenly the darkness coalesced into a familiar face, beautiful and terrible. Mara smiled coldly down at my swollen belly, knife gleaming in her pale hand.
"For the good of the pack, my dear," she purred. And plunged the blade into my womb again and again, black blood gushing as I screamed and screamed.
"No. Not my child." I yelled.
