My mind spun as I processed Heather's words. A child? She had a whelp while away from me all these years? Rage simmered, but I forced it down. There were more pressing matters.
"What is this talk of a child?" I demanded. "Explain yourself."
Heather's expression turned guarded. "I have a son, Alex. Please Lucas, let me go back to him. He needs me."
