Winnie used to frequently play American Mah Jongg with Mrs. Murphy when she lived with the Murphy family, so she was very familiar with the game.

However, she initially didn't want to join these people, fearing the conversation would be full of praises for Eileen. But knowing that Eileen was inexperienced, she saw a chance to outshine her in the game.

Hannah, unaware of Winnie’s thoughts, was simply pleased to see her becoming more sensible.
