The lights in the treatment room were still brightly lit. Sheena lay motionless, an IV line neatly attached to the back of her hand. The monitor beeped steadily. Julio stood beside the bed, staring at his wife’s pale face.

“Doctor, she still hasn’t woken up?” Julio asked softly.

The doctor nodded. “It’s still the effect of exhaustion and trauma. Her condition is stable. We’ll observe her for now.”
