The next morning Courtney and I emerged from my bedroom and went to find breakfast.

Robert was sitting in the dining room, a half-drunk cup of coffee and a half eaten bagel on the table in front of him.

"How are you doing?" I asked gently.

Robert glanced up, "I assume you told her?"

I nodded, "Not in great detail, but I told her last night. She wasn't in great shape though. Do you remember our discussion?"
