I woke in the morning suddenly, my stomach heaving. I pushed my way clear of Bobby's arms and ran into the bathroom, barely getting there before I started to throw up. He came up behind me, pulling my hair back as I finished retching. I leaned back on my heels and he went to the sink, filling up a paper cup with mouthwash.
