" I had no idea you were the one coming to pick me up". Lilly said in an amused tone as she followed me out of the school.

"Neither did I". I said with a shrug.

I was not supposed to be the one to pick her up, but I wanted to. After speaking for that long with Amelia, I wanted to talk to a person that would respond.
