I was taken aback by Xavier's reaction as he burst out in laughter while I ping-ponged my gaze around while trying to grasp what was currently happening at the moment. I was expecting him to yell and act like the crazy and unpredictable Xavier that I have always known but right now, he was laughing to my face and it felt kind of warm somehow.

Different thoughts raced through my mind as I closed the journal containing the food recipes while keeping it back.
