Irene's P.O.V

The ride to the event was eerily quiet. The only thing Xavier did was stare out the window and heave multiple sighs. For the first time in my life, I saw a shocking side of Xavier, when he hugged me, I could see the fear in his eyes and it made me wonder what could cause the almighty Xavier to look so shaken. 

"Hmmm" I cleared my throat in a bid to gather his attention. He kept his gaze fixed on the outside of the car and when I thought he was lost in his thoughts, he took me by surprise. "What are you trying to ask?"
