    I went into the room I shared with Jayden in a daze. Jayden was by my side immediately I opened the door.

    "What was that about, Ro. Why was she in pain?" He asked curiously and I burst into tears again. I could not get the image of her battered body out of my head and I felt like I failed as a mother. 

    "I've failed as a mother, Jay. Adrian has disgraced me and I'm not worthy of being called a mother", I said amidst tears. Jayden led me towards our bed and held me till my tears subsided.
