A pack member was killed at the border.

His words kept ringing in my ears and I felt weighed down. If only I had listened to my instincts, it might have been avoided. I couldn't even protect one person, how was I supposed to protect the whole wolf world?

"There was nothing we could have done, Lola", Jasmine said sadly through our mindlink. "We're just getting used to this whole thing, it's going to take time", she tried to reassure me but I believed it was my fault.
