I turn in my sleep and suddenly open my eyes when I realise I'm alone in the bed.

"Lucas ? Bruce? " I call out but get no response.

I quickly get up and cover myself with a warm  fleece and walk to my daughter's room where I find her sleeping peacefully.

I smile and close the door carefully and quietly but the moment the door closes someone from behind me covers my mouth with their hand and panic and try to free myself but I stop when I hear Bruce whisper to me.

"shh it's me. Calm down. " He says.

After a few minutes I catch my breath...
