I watched anxiously as Lorenzo squinted his eyes, fixed on whatever or whoever could be outside the door. His expression was unreadable, but his tension was obvious, radiating off him in waves.

"Who is that?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper, as I walked up to him, desperate to know what he saw.

His gaze met mine, his eyes sparkling with a hint of mischief. "Just look," he said, his voice low and mysterious, sending a shiver down my spine.

Curiosity got the better of me. I peered through the peephole, and my eyes rolled in exasperation as I recognized the visitors.

"Gosh, what's going on now?"...
