Layla's POV

Noah said calmly his hands still on my shoulder. I wanted to close my eyes and relish his touch, but it would make me seem like a crazy person, so I didn't.

I felt a great loss of warmth when Noah pulled his hands away.

I shut my eyes, and a grunt of disappointment left my lips. Then I turned to look at him, a small smile on my lips.

It wasn't a fake one. I indeed was happy with his new change. But I felt pained.

Why did this have to happen when I was stuck at a crossroad? Where each part would lead to the stoppage...
