Layla didn't say anything; she just walked away.

I didn't need her to say it even once for me to know that I had to follow her.

I turned around to look at Noah. "Em... Noah, I'll be right back." Then I glanced at the older man who Layla came with.

That must be her bastard father.

He looked confused, too, but instead of saying anything, he just walked away. The woman beside him tried to call him back, but he dragged her along quietly.
