Maybe he just wanted to see where I lived, or maybe he was just being the kind person he usually is... But Jack insisted on taking me to Layla's mansion, and he did.

His car slowly came to a halt at the entrance.

Before he could say a word or even be the gentleman that he was, I got out of the car and shut the door.

"Thank you," I whispered to him stepping aside for him to drive past.

Jack opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but then he closed it... Started the car, and drove away.
