My breath freezes in my chest and my throat suddenly goes dry.

His words sends shivers crawling down my spine.

“You're not going to tell her, will you?” I ask, I can hear my heart beat racing ferociously.

A smirk hover around his lips. “I'm not dumb. It's not a path I'm willing to toe.”

My tense shoulder finally relaxes as relief washes over me.

All hell will break loose if she finds out. I let out a shuddering breath.
