I get to the office early this morning. The office was very quiet.

I am just sitting here thinking about what could have happened if Gina had seen Emma.

Emma is still fighting. She is still trying to tell herself that this can end. Cute. No going back.

I look at my watch. It says 8:17. I was expecting her to be here by now.

My jaw gets all tight. I have to make myself pay attention to the marketing report that's open on my laptop screen. It is about numbers, projections and budgets. Boring stuff. But I have to do it. I write down a reminder to call...
