I stood in my apartment, finally scrolling through the messages I had ignored since the engagement party.
Ronan's messages were a mess-begging, pleading, then lashing out in anger. My coworkers sent kind words, trying to console me. My mother, of course, left a string of insults, blaming me for embarrassing her precious Vivienne.
