RORY'S POV

Ryker’s fingers tightened around mine, his breath catching. “Say it again.”

I swallowed, my heart pounding against my ribs. “I’m pregnant.”

His eyes widened, shock flashing across his face. Then something else—something deeper. His grip on me softened, but his whole body went rigid, like he was trying to hold himself together.

“For me?” His voice was barely above a whisper, yet it carried so much weight.

“Yes,” I breathed.
