Clarissa's POV
The rest of the evening I was frozen. I took the kids to the restaurant that they had told me about and I allowed them to make their order.
I made an order as well but I could barely eat. I poked at the food as if I was in a trance. And though it smells immaculate, my worries were greater than my appetite.
I turned my head and tried to distract myself with the scenery in the restaurant.
It wasn't working. It felt like I was frozen in time. Everything was moving in slow motion.
