"Violet, she was the woman you slept with years ago." He clarified, his eyes looking directly at mine.

My blood turned cold in my veins. Every part of me shivered and I widened my eyes like it was going to pop out. I must definitely be deaf to have heard him say that.

"What did you just say?" I asked.

"I said it's your wife Violet," he repeated, which made me know that I didn't hear correctly the first time.

"No!" I shook my head, unable to believe it.
