Emerald quickly opened her phone and saw Iris's messages, so she immediately replied to let her know she was fine. She didn't check her online status and quickly dialed Alaric's number.

The phone rang for a long time, and just before it could disconnect, an elderly voice answered, "Hello, Teacher Greene."

Emerald immediately recognized the voice of the housekeeper, and a wave of anxiety washed over her. She wasn’t sure how to explain the call to Alaric, so she asked, “Uh, is Mr. Corrigan at home?”
