Cole stood frozen in the doorway for a few seconds, takeout bag still dangling from his fingers, eyes wide as he took in the scene on the couch. Raine and Daniel had already sat up by the time he burst in, the blanket pooled around their waists, but they were still clearly tangled together, Daniel’s arm around Raine’s shoulders, Raine’s hand resting on Daniel’s chest like it belonged there. The movie was still playing softly in the background, completely forgotten.
