Three years ago.
“Mira! I chose Mira!”
That was the last thing I heard from him right before the bullet tore through my chest.
The pain was sharp at first, then it dissolved into nothing.
I remember swearing within me to turn a ghost and haunt him down but I know that was impossible. I was already dying, the warmth of my own blood soaking into the dirt beneath me.
Not long after I died. Or maybe I only died for a few seconds.
Because I was sure my heart stopped and yet, something cruel wouldn’t let me stay dead.
