“Then where the hell are they?” I barked, my heart doing a frantic double-beat against my ribs.

“Over there!” Kellan’s voice shot out. He was pointing toward the opposite end of the yard, near a stack of rusted beams.

I turned and saw the two of them walking toward us. My shoulders dropped in a wave of relief so heavy it almost made my knees weak. Thank God. They were fine.

“Where did you wander off to?” I asked the second they were within earshot. I tried to keep the Alpha authority in my voice, but I knew the worry was leaking through.
