Maelis POV

The terminal was massive just as I remembered, though there were visible changes now.

We walked in without wasting any moment, however,

Lucian pulled away from the group almost immediately.

“I have something to do inside the main sector,” he said, already making a move.

“Alpha,” Kellan stepped forward, frowning. “I think It’s better if we stay together. We don’t know who is out here... Or...”

“No,” Lucian insisted, his tone leaving no room for argument. “You stay with them. And take a look around, I’ll be back.”

He turned and walked off toward the older, overgrown section of the terminal without another word.

I watched him go....
